Please do not close Terror in the Woods down.
They help the community with the pantry goods that starving people need.
And there would be alot of disappointed people .
Please don't close it down..

The North Scott Pantry needs Terror in The Woods to stay open.
They provide food for many, many starving people.
What will those people do without food for their Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
And I need Terror in the Woods to stay open so my wife can continue to volunteer..and give me a break from her every October.
Thankyou.

Stopping a traditional event, that supports people who lack food through a Food bank, is just beyond belief.
People could be doing worse than attending a Halloween haunting event. Haunted Houses for Halloween have been a tradition my whole 55 years of life.
And denying a food bank food for those in need is a selfish, self-serving form of hatred.

Terror in the Woods has helped the food pantry so much it would be a shame to shut them down. Each year in the past that I have volunteered at terror in the woods we have filled the pantry to the extrem with food till they couldnt hold any more. It would be a shame to see all the kids and familes that use the pantry to not have the food there for the holiday season that follows Terror in the woods. That is something i would not want to live with so please think of these needy familes before you try and shut down a place that helps them so much

This has been one of the most fun and scarey experiances for my family and friends. We enjoy going to the Woods every year. A new location is just not going to work. The drive to this location is all part of the scare and what makes this whole deal ROCK. I pack up the kids and friends and all of our canned goods and head to the woods every year since it has been open, and don't miss a weekend. You all keep doing what you do, and will keep comming.

I go to terror in the woods every year and most years I have gone multiple times... There have never been any problems and they are all for a good cause. I think that it is an awesome idea to make it for charity! I couldn't imagine how much less North Scott would recieve if they didn't have the support that they get from this event. Also many people will probably be very upset, because it is something that they can do with their kids.

TITW is not a money-making venture. The purpose is to entertain, to celebrate Halloween, to bring friends together, and to help provide food for those who would otherwise go hungry without assisstance. It is the premier haunted attraction of the QCA and a staple of the spirit of Halloween. The Quad Cities without Terror In the Woods would be Hershey, PA with no chocolate.

I think that relocating TITW would take away from their motives, in which they have a good location, great volunteers, and provide great entertainment, all while raising money for a good cause. Please.......don't force them to move!!

Please allow the 'terror in the woods' to operate on your land. They help the community out every year with their food drive, and many people enjoy their amazing haunted house. It is a fun family activity and a yearly tradition.

Terror in the woods works in the interest of the community and does a ghoulishly good job at it. Everyone does a great job of donating time to construct and play a part in the good time that serves the community. I only wish that more of these types of attractions would pitch in to the community. Terror in the Woods does a great job in their haunt to keep people helping the comminity through donations.

Terror in the Woods is the best Halloween attraction I've ever been too. I live near Omaha Nebr. now and there isn't anything here that can match that. Where it's at is perfect. It's back in the boonies and have plenty of area to scare the crap out of the customers. It should stay where it's at.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and Terror in the Woods is an integral part of my celebration. It's always been such a fun experience for me and my friends and the people who work the event have been such wonderful examples of how fun a humanitarian effort can be. It breaks my heart to think that I won't be able to enjoy the spirit of Halloween with my husband at Terror in the Woods this year. We've gone before but this would have been our first time going as a newly married couple. I especially feel sorry for all the people who will be shortchanged at the Scott County Food Pantry due to TITW's absence. I can't halp but wonder, what is this world coming to?

so i guess i don't get the deal. everyone goes out, has fun, chats up the staff and has a good scare or two, and in the process help feed those who need food. a charity, done out of good will and a sense of lighthearted fun during a season of childlike wonderment, is shut down because some beaurocratic SOB decides a family can't use their farmland and wooded area as a gathering place for wellwishers and those who wish to be thrilled by the antics of volunteers. maybe doing something good isn't a good enough reason to let people have some harmless fun. or maybe the scott county attorney has a sequoia up his sphincter. whichever it is, i wonder if he can look himself in the mirror. perhpas he shaves in the dark.

We have visited Terror in the Woods for many years and LOVE all the hard work Mike and his family have put in to it! Shutting it down is a wrong doing! Please reconsider your actions of shutting it down and do the whole community a service and let them reopen! People young and old look to Terror in the Woods for the ultimate Halloween experience! Mike and his family work hard year round to make an UNBELIEVABLE!! haunting experience for all that come to visit! There is no one out there that competes with all they put in to it!

This is a family run business whose goal is help the community and provide safe and afordable entertainment. Mike and his family do not look at their profits but the "fear" in their customers eyes as they laugh, cry etc. But the biggest thrill is being able to tell people the food pantry has to clear some food out of the stoarge before he can make the delivery. Please let allow this venture to operate to support those in need while entertaining those who are seeking a little fright during Halloween. Thank You.

I was so bummed when I found out that TITW would not be opening this year. I know that me and alot of my friends were planning on going out there for the opening weekend. I do not see the problem with the haunted house and why it was closed down. I have gone out there for the past 3 years and i can not imagine not going this year! =/

Everyone needs a little scare in their life and Terror in the Woods does that...They have put alot of money and effort into making Terror in the Woods the best it can be. They don't deserve to be closed down because of zoning. They do such an amazing job at changing stuff every year. I worked there one year during the day when they have lights on for kids and they are really nice people and its a nice enviornment. If anything let this year be the last and the best year. They put too much money and effort into everything that they don't deserve to be shut down like this...let everyone have one last scare.

dude look at how many people go to terror in the woods every year! Me and my friends wait patiently every year for this month to come just for terror in the woods, our ages run from 10 to 40 years old, it attracts all ages and its helping out for a cause, people come from all over, and look how patiently ppl even wait in line- not causiing trouble drunk or not they wait and have fun for the hours it could take to finally get in cause its the best around, how could you do this, this world is depressing when you start taking out this stuff now!!!!!

I have been taking family and friends for years. It is the best

I have been going to this haunted house since it first opened. It is the only haunted house we ever go to, and we go at least 5 times a year! We always know that it will be opperating safely and efficiently. They do a great thing for the community. Alchohal is not allowed and the canned food drive is a great thing. I always bring my niece and a group of their friends out and donate each time. What a same that such a great place has to be shut down. It's only one month a year, you think something could be down for a place that has already become a yearly tradition for most people, and for a place that loves to give back to the community. RE-OPEN TERROR IN THE WOODS!

This has become a fall tradition for me and my friends. I love the charity aspect of the haunt and it is by far one of the best haunted houses I have experienced partly because of it's location. Please reconsider this decision. Too many people are counting on the goods collected.

We have been bringing our kids and their freinds to Terror in the Woods for years and have never had safety issues nor concerns. It has been a great family tradition and very well operated and monitored by the owners and employees. Terror in the Woods is an extremely well-run attraction, with a strong focus on safety, as well as fun. These people are professionals! They have been doing it for many years, and are excellent. Their main goal is to allow people to enjoy a safe and spooky evening of entertainment. Collecting donations for the Food Pantry helps so many in the community, and reminds people attending the haunted house that there are others who are in need. This is quite obviously an attempt by the local government to make some sort of noise close to election time....shameful behavior indeed! Find out who is | |
